Krishnamurti held annual talks and discussions in the Swiss mountain village of Saanen from 1961 to 1985. In 1985, photographer Mark Edwards was on hand to record the talks that Krishnamurti announced would be his last at Saanen.
The talks and question and answer meetings collected in this volume present quintessential Krishnamurti themes.
Krishnamurti says, So we must inquire: What does it mean to see? What does it mean to observe? I am observing myself right?
I am watching what I am my reactions, my prejudices, my convictions, my idiosyncrasies all that rubbish.
I am watching.
If I do not watch very, very carefully, listen to every sound that is going on in the watching, then I set a direction in which I must go.
